Thank you so much to Lauren Haynes, Founder and CEO of Wooden Spoon Herbs, for taking the time to talk with us about her company. In addition to being an IHS sponsor, Wooden Spoon donates 1% of revenue to United Plant Savers.

UpS: Could you tell us a little about what Wooden Spoon Herbs makes, and what you’re working towards?

WSH:Wooden Spoon Herbs makes high quality tinctures, teas and tonics from organic plants grown on domestic farms. Herbal remedies from the Earth, for the people.

We want to illustrate how easy, fun and delicious herbalism can be! Our vision is a plant-based apothecary in every home, and the know-how to use it. Wooden Spoon aims to provide just that.

UpS: What are three surprising things about this company?

WSH: Our HQ is tucked in the forest of the Georgia mountains. We work remotely – most of us have never met in person! We started out selling at our local farmer’s market.

UpS: What do you have in the works for the next year?

WSH: We are working on some delicious new products in all-new formats! Capsules are coming in early 2022.

UpS: Do you have a favorite memory related to United Plant Savers?

WSH: Visiting the UPS Sanctuary was a dream! It was goldenseal as far as the eye could see, and we spent so much time with dozens and dozens of mature ginseng plants. Heaven — hydrastis heaven.
