Phyllis D. Light, MA, is a fourth generation folk herbalist in practice for over 25 years. She is a professional member of the AHG and has a MA in Health Studies from the University of Alabama. She is a bridge between tradition and science and desires to save traditional healing methods for the future. Phyllis has worked in private practice, medical clinics, and was supervising herbalist at Common Ground Health Clinic in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She was Director of Herbal Studies at Clayton College of Natural Health, taught CEU courses in integrative medicine for Diversified Nursing Services, and has written many articles for industry magazines.
