Mindy is an herbalist, esthetician, and aromatherapist, and has written extensively on medical botany and natural lifestyles. With many decades of experience in the natural products industry, she is a well-known educator, author, and past director of research for the Herb Research Foundation and clinical aromatherapist for the Aveda Corporation. She is a current advisory board member of the American Botanical Council (publishers of HerbalGram Magazine) and brings a wealth of experience and industry insight to the Program Advisory Council of the American College of Healthcare Sciences. She previously served as committee chair for botanicals in cosmetics for the American Herbal Products Association and on the board of United Plant Savers.
Mindy is a founding and professional member of the American Herbalists Guild and a Registered Aromatherapist with advanced training in essential oils from Purdue University. She teaches aromatherapy to medical professionals through the University of Arizona’s Center for Integrative Medicine, and for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. An author of three books and over 70 articles, she recently contributed to two of Dr. Andrew Weil’s clinical textbooks on integrative health. She believes learning never ends and plants are our teachers. She lives in Boulder, CO.
