Mary Ayodele has worked to sustain people and communities with the wisdom of plants as a prophetess, herbalist, and independent scholar for over 20 years. Mary's training in plant sight began with 4 o'clock flowers and do-bait in her Grandmas kitchen as a child and has continued with deep immersion in West and Central African cultural and spiritual traditions. Mary is foundress of The Institute of Africana Cosmology where she offers the Earth Has Memory: Urban First Aid With Plants and the Wild Patch Plant Centered Healing programs. She is a featured contributor in the psychology textbook Root Psychology: A Diverse Assessment regarding the intersection of healing and gardening in the African diaspora and several other publications and radio shows. She lives a portion of every year in the Gulf of Mexico bioregion, keeping house in Houston TX.
