Don has been a pioneer in both the industrial hemp and medical cannabis industries. Through the course of his 50-year legal career, Don was able to travel the world of industrial hemp, collecting artifacts of the pre-prohibition use of cannabis. Don began collecting cannabis apothecaries in earnest after a pharmaceutical executive argued that cannabis had never been accepted as a medicine in the United States. This challenged Don to accumulate the nation’s largest collection of cannabis medical memorabilia from a network of secretive controlled substance bottle collectors. A team has formed to transform this unique collection into the Cannabis Museum now opening in Athens, Ohio.
