About Course

We are used to philosophizing, theorizing, researching, and picking apart Nature, but in order to truly understand Nature we must recognize that these methods are artificial impositions upon Nature and that we must instead learn to hear the Speech of Nature. First, we must work at the art of experience or empiricism, learning to observe, listen, and catch the voice of the world around us. In Nature, things function as wholes, not as separate pieces, and we must train ourselves to sense and see these wholes. Nature is too hot, too cold, too tense, too damp, etc., in both the environment and the microcosm of the individual. These patterns shine forth in the plants, in signatures, constitutions, and patterns, analogous to health imbalances—and cures. Finally, the principles and laws of Nature will be both evident and governing within our minds and body. This is the Old, Old Path of Earth and Nature Wisdom, always waiting to educate the herbalist and the spiritual seeker. Many of these lessons are illustrated in the plants themselves.
