About Course

Food therapy is linked intrinsically with our everyday lives and is one of the highest forms of therapy and herbalist philosophy. Every being on earth needs food to survive, and we are all instinctively aware of how important the food choices we make are to physical and spiritual well-being. In this two-part video series, we’ll dive into the ages-old Traditional Chinese Medicine practices of food therapy, with a specific focus on how to choose the diets of our animals to best balance their spiritual energy and Qi.

In part 1, viewers are introduced to the concept of food therapy. We also discuss and analyze the properties of fruits and vegetables, which are put into a 5-element context.

In part 2, we focus on meats and grains In this class, leaving the participant with a greater understanding of the indications for these types of foods. The emphasis is to understand the energetics so that food charts are not necessary.

Participants will learn ways to truly understand these foods at a deeper level so that they can use them in practice easily, without needing a food chart.
