Bits of Herstory the American Healthcare System (Live at 17th IHS)

The following presentation was recorded live at the 17th International Herb Symposium, September 2025.

This biographical timeline presentation explores the doctors and healers who shaped early American medical care, with a focus on the Thompsonian, Physiomedicalist, and Eclectic physicians. Through the stories of individual practitioners—including several prominent womyn—the class highlights the philosophies and values of these vibrant healing traditions. Participants will gain an understanding of how these movements influenced the evolution of American herbalism and holistic health.
