Gifts for Gaia; Earth Altars, Medicine Mandalas Plus Beauty Blessings (Audio)
About Course
The following audio presentation was recorded live at the 14th International Herb Symposium, June 2019.
Devotion to caring for the earth begins with remembering how to express our gratitude. Please join us in this plant and flower-filled playshop ceremony as we gather together to create beautiful offerings for the earth and all of her helpers. Working with a variety of natural materials, we will explore the realms of sacred play, allowing our innate creativity and gratitude for the land to guide us. This practice of creating offerings can be a powerful tool for helping to release old patterns, unlock intuition and creative fire, and remind us of our soul’s own unique gifts and purpose within the Collective. This class will begin with a meditative study of nature’s own mandalas, as seen in tree rings, pinecones, spider webs, the cosmos, and certain shells and flowers, as well as cover traditional practices for creating offerings, sacred plant bundles, altars, and mandalas based on the spiral and the Sacred Wheel. We will discuss ways in which offerings can assist us in communing with the life cycles, the elements and elemental beings, and our ancestors. We will then dive deep into the playful ceremony of creating our offerings with a beautiful array of flowers, leaves, shells, and other lovingly gathered natural materials.
