Giving Back: It’s Good For the Soul ~ Kina Gegoo Botanical Sanctuary

The Ginkgo Tree is proud to be a Botanical Sanctuary Member with United Plant Savers. UPS’ mission is to protect native medicinal plants of North America and their native habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of medicinal plants for generations to come. With herbs moving into the mainstream, and the demand for wild medicinal plants increasing we are using up the supply of these herbs. This increased usage along with habitat destruction is causing an ever-increasing shortage of wild plant resources, including some of our most treasured medicinal species.

Learn how we are making a difference and you can too! Students will become aware of our at-risk and at-watch medicinal plants in North America, learn what plants not to wildcraft, and will learn what they can do to help by giving back. They will also learn how they too could become a sanctuary.
