About Course

Israel Borokini will be describing some of the medicinal plants used for primary health care and treatment of specific diseases among the Yoruba Tribe, in southwestern Nigeria. Yoruba is the largest African ethnic group within which there is wide linguistic diversity as well as knowledge of medicinal plants. He will also describe the medicinal uses of exotic and invasive plant species which underscores bioprospecting among the traditional healers in the region.
