In 2021, Falcon Guides published my book, Medicinal Herbs of California: A Field Guide to Common Healing Plants. As a member of United Plant Savers and a lifetime environmentalist and plant lover, I took seriously the responsibility of sending my readers into the wild to sustainably collect medicinal herbs. I also accepted the challenge of providing ample evidence of Indigenous use along with current scientific data to back up that use.
