Saturday 4 - 7p.m. ~ Special Playshop Intensives

These hands-on playshops are offered for respite from a heady weekend. All materials, samples, and handouts are included. Register with Intensives ($35 fee).

Playshops do not conflict with other workshops, but do conflict with Saturday afternoon Intensives.

  1. Natural Cosmetics and Herbal Skin Care with Kate Rakosky.
    Discover how to create exquisite natural skin care products using herbs and flowers from your garden and common kitchen ingredients. Participants will make face creams, facial scrubs, masques, facial toners, salt and brown sugar scrubs and much more. This is a hands-on participatory, fun opportunity to make skin care products and to receive and give a facial! Great fun and Great Products! Recipes and samples to take with you.   2. Herbal First Aide; Making an Herbal First Aide Kit for Home and Travel with Nancy Phillips.
    Just what goes into a good herbal first aide kit? What are favorite remedies for home and travel? Join community herbalist, Nancy Phillips, for this hands-on participatory class. You’ll learn about herbal first aide for the home and travel, and how to make herbal products such as salves, tincture, liniments, and other remedies for your first aide kit. Demonstration, recipes and samples shared. Great class for beginners!

WHEATON COLLEGE ~ SYMPOSIUM FACILITIES

The excellent facilities of this lovely, ivy covered campus, 200 acres of adjoining woodland, a rural New England atmosphere and close proximity to Boston (35 miles) make Wheaton College the perfect meeting place for the International Herb Symposium. Inexpensive Lodging is available on campus and delicious meals with vegetarian options are served at reasonable rates.

And Wheaton College is easy to get to..........

Located in Southeastern Mass. in the small town of Norton, Wheaton College is 35 miles south of Boston, Ma. and 15 miles north of Providence, RI. The College is accessible by car from Interstate RT 95 and RT 495, and train, bus or taxi from Boston’s Logan Airport.
