IHS Registration Information
Registration Fees
$255 Early Bird Registration Fee if registered before March 30th.
In order to qualify for the Early Bird discount, All fees including lodging, meals and intensives must be paid in full by March 30th in order to qualify for the Early Bird Registration.
$295 Registration Fee if registering after March 30th.
The Symposium Registration Fee includes all workshops, activities, entertainment, dance and herb walks except for the Intensive Classes which are an additional $35 for each Intensive.
Please note: a few of the hands on craft type of activities may charge a small material fee of between $5 - $10 payable to the teacher at the time of the class; material fees when requested are noted on the IHS schedule.

Extra night(s) lodging for Thursday or Sunday nights

- For those arriving on Thursday evening, Friday Breakfast ($7) and Lunch ($9) will be served. Pay at the door. Great food and a variety of choices including vegetarian and meat entrée’s.
About the Accommodations
Wheaton College is a lovely old New England College campus.
- Basic Rooms are just that; very simple college rooms in college dorms with shared bathrooms (men and women on different floors/different bathrooms). But the cost is very affordable and makes it easier for many to attend who otherwise wouldn’t be able to. We’re thankful for that, and hope you are as well.
- The Deluxe Rooms are in the newer nicer dorms with air conditioning in each room, but are still simple and basic.
- The food served at Wheaton College is excellent. Chef John Bragel has been our chef/food service director at Wheaton for the past four Symposiums and most participants report food as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ on the evaluation forms. Though impossible to please everyone (especially concerning food!), they do a top notch job and satisfy most of the participants. Though not 100% organic, produce and dairy is sourced from many local farms, bread is baked fresh daily in the Wheaton kitchen, and food is wholesome and nourishing. There are vegetarian and meat entrée’s at every meal, a salad and sandwich bar, and a few choices for vegans.
- Please note; for those not wishing to purchase the Meal & Lodging Option, there are several hotels and motels and a camp ground in the area as well as a couple of small basic restaurants in Norton.

Symposium Cancellation Policy
All refund requests must be in writing and received in our office at the designated times notes below; please email us at sage@sagemountain.com. And/or write to IHS/Refund, P.O. Box 420, E. Barre, VT 05649.
June 1st: All fees except for a $75 processing fee are fully refundable until June 1st. (This includes tuition, intensives, meal/lodging fees)
June 10th: Between June 2nd and June 10th, the IHS will refund ½ of the total fees paid minus a $75 processing fee (1/2 of total fees paid - $75 processing fee = refund)
After June 10th, there will be absolutely no refunds.
Teens & Children
Teenagers between the ages of 13 – 18 who are interested in herbal studies are joyfully welcome to join you at the IHS. In order to encourage their participation, we offer a special Teen Discount of $195 which includes all activities and classes. Lodging and Meals and Intensives are an additional fee. Younger teens, of course, need to be accompanied by their parents or a responsible adult. Registration for Teens; $195 plus lodging/meals/intensives
Children 2-12: Younger children are also welcome to attend the IHS with their parent(s). However, we are unable to provide childcare at the IHS. If bringing your child(ren) please do so with the understanding that your children will need to be with you at all times and will need to be quiet and respectful during classes. As in past years, Gracie Phillips will be offering several hands on activities for the children during the IHS, but parents are generally expected to stay with their younger children during the activities. A schedule of activities for the children will be posted on the web. Registration for children 2-12 is $95 plus lodging and meals.
Symposium Proceedings Book
This beautiful bound book is over 300 pages and is filled with the teacher’s class notes, handouts, herbal directories and resources. It’s a valuable reference treasured long after the conference.

The Nurses Path ~ CNE
CNE’s could maximally equal 13.5 hours if you attend one class per time slot and complete all necessary requirements/documents. The classes have been preceded with an N# on the Schedule, and there are 1or 2 choices during each time slot; each class is worth 1.5 CNE’s. The processing fee for CNE’s is $120, payment and registration requested at the time of registration.

Veterinarians Track
If registering for the Vet Track, there is an additional fee of $35 with money going toward helping to secure CE credits for alternative therapies. A certificate of attendance from VBMA will be given to participants signing up for the Vet Track. Please indicate on the registration form that you are signing up for the Vet Track.
INTENSIVES CLASSES
Intensive workshops offer participants the opportunity to delve deeper into subjects of particular interest and to work more closely with individual teachers. Intensives are 3 ½ to 4 hours in length and are an additional $35 each. Space is limited and intensives fill up quickly. Be sure to register and prepay ahead of time to ensure your space.
